Soulmate

I have this song on my mp3 player... and I like it cuz it reflects some of my thoughts. So I thought I'd put the lyrics on here...in case u felt like reading them. I think the song kinda speaks for itself, its by Natasha Bedingfield. enough said.

Incompatible, it don't matter though
'cos someone's bound to hear my cry
Speak out if you do
You're not easy to find
Is it possible Mr. Loveable
Is already in my life?
Right in front of me
Or maybe you're in disguise
Who doesn't long for someone to hold
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone
Here we are again,
circles never end
How do I find the perfect fit
There's enough for everyone
But I'm still waiting in line
Who doesn't long for someone to hold
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone
If there's a soulmate for everyone
Most relationships seem so transitory
They're all good but not the permanent one
Who doesn't long for someone to hold
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone
Who doesn't long for someone to hold
Who knows how to love you without being told
Somebody tell me why I'm on my own
If there's a soulmate for everyone
If there's a soulmate for everyone
My newest gym record..- 2.5 miles, in 25 minutes, the beginnings always hard, and i always do my utmost best to think of anything else then running, and I try not to look at the timer cuz it just drags by. The last couple minutes are always easier then the first 15-20. Im not gonna lie though, Im pretty proud of my body, and how much more in shape it is, not in the sense of being shapely but just in shape. Its good to know that Im not incapable of getting in shape and being able to run more then 10 meters.
So do you reckon a nanny update would be nice?
I said yes, and could potentially be a city girl in just a few weeks. Thats a very loaded sentence; But I wont go into detail today; just pray for me.
I spent Valentines day helping out at Hecla Radisson, with the buffet, serving etc. Long Long story short, Dresscode is all black to shoes.. I had one pair of black shoes, they have heels. I wore them. and worked on my feet for 12 hours, with barely a break. Never have I had pain like that,Even the hot italian chefs couldn't made me feel better. The last hours were excruciating. AGONY. at about 12:30 am, I broke down in the kitchen and started crying cuz I was in so much pain. I dont cry easily. I cried then, and all the way home after I snuck out the back of the kitchen. I drove home in my socks, but it didn't matter even after the shoes were off, it still hurt bad, My feet were totally swelled up, even the next day. I was supposed to go back on Sunday, but I couldn't even walk around my house never mind go do another 12 hour shift. So I didnt.. MY LESSON IS LEARNT.. next time I'll wear runners.. even if it is a 5 star resort. Don't get me wrong though, if it wouldn't have been for my feet. It woulda been a pretty good day!
Tonight I went to visit Sara and her new baby sister Miley, I LOVE newborns... nothing is more precious. Speaking of newborns...
Congratulations to Alex and Nanda of Cooma Australia on the birth of their Valentine baby girl (at least Valentine in Canada)
Olivia Mary
You guys will make awesome parents.
I hope I'll be able to meet her before she's all grown up.
If you want to hear a great labor story, you should hear this gal's I didn't know it was possible to have it that easy and quick on a first baby. Im happy for you Nanda :)
In other news.. I never mentioned it yet on here. But 2 of my best friends have big special days coming up this summer, and Im so happy for them.
Congratulations Sophia, your gonna make a wonderful wife for Nolan. I hope you'll have a very wonderful life together. Im super honored to be your bridesmaid, and super excited about the dresses, cuz they are beautiful.
Congratulations Krista!, I know you waited for that ring for a long time, and Im so happy it happened for you finally. Your gonna be a hot bride! Sams a lucky lucky man. I love ya!
I ain't gonna lie, I got some super amazing friends, My life had been blessed by them so many times over.
The highlight of my week? Getting a huge inflatable life like kangaroo in the mail from Australia. Makes me smile everytime I look at it, and I drag it around the house with me, Im thinking I should cruise around with it in my passenter seat, that'd be funny. Thanks again Chicken.

My cat ate my Moms Budgie

Today it rained in my favor, I know it sucked for the 1000's of Manitobans that hit the ditch and each other and the ground because of the ice, but for me, for today, I needed it. I called into work and said I didnt' want to try driving on this, and that was ok with the boss, so I promtly put myself back to bed and slept soundly till noon, and had a dream about all my Australian friends coming to visit me here.

This weekend was my big family gathering weekend, which was sweet. I really love my extended family, on both sides. This was my Barkman side. I did lots of chatting with my uncles and aunts about "my decision-making" which made me look at a few new angles of it all; but all in all made my decision that much heavier, so just when I thought I knew what I was gonna do, Im back to square 2. I still have a few days left to think about it, but how much thinking about something can you do? I want the job, no question there, I'd love the job. I know that. I'd also already convinced myself that being a city girl would be alright. I love the idea of being closer to more of my friends. So what is my problem you ask?

A. Taxes.

B. My future dreams.

These were the 2 things that were brought up this weekend. My uncles and aunts know me well. and the first thing that my uncle asked me when I mentioned that I was thinking about coming to the city was.

"What about Australia?"

I think everyone who knows me really well.. knows how badly I want to go back. Theres a small possibility that somehow it could still happen if I were a nanny... but it just seems quite unlikely, and that scares me, cuz its important to me. did I ever mention that I've thought about just up and moving there..being an aupair..

Moving across the world seems less scary to me then moving to Winnipeg.. funny how that works. Ignorance is pure bliss thats all I can say.

Then we were talking about going back to school.

What do I want to do when I grow up?

I wanna be a flight attendant, preferbly on West Jet. Then I can fly all the time, and work in the place I love the most. Which is the sky.

or a Photographer.

Moving to the city to be a nanny, although Im sure I would actually love it, is a big commitment, and commitments are not a bad thing, but it would make me a "settled down" person, cuz I wouldn't be able to up and do things like I could right now.Cuz after making all my payments I probably wouldn't have much left, and then where are you getting to? Buying a car made me partly a settled down person, cuz it limited how much of my paycheck i could actually save. But it doesn't stop me completly, it slows me down but doesnt stop me. People always tell me.."Do things while you can, while your young, while your single" the last one I hear alot.. "its ok to be single, you can do so much." and I want to do things, I want to make the most of these first years outta highschool, cuz its where Im gonna some of my biggest lifelong memories. So sometimes having a job that I dont love all that much.. seems to be an ok sacrafice cuz my boss is good about letting me go to camp and travel.

But like I was telling my mom earlier today.."I really want this nanny job"

ahh Im in such a pickle I just dont even know what to do. I could talk it in circles for ages. So i'll talk about something else now. Like this weekend.. heres some pictures:

Bloody Knuckles, is what I call this game now. See how small this air hockey table is? Do you think I can stay on my side of the red line. AH NO, I jam and hack until I score.. the result?

a very sore bruised and bleeding and hurting so much I can't even straighten it out hand. that sore may look small but it bled like a sucker

It even made playing Dutch Blitz a lil hard. My auntie Bonnie is Queen of this game.

Theres a rule of NO DIVING..which sucked.. so instead we "Jumped Creativly" On the left is Christy, my syncronized jumping partner, and Im on the right. we don't look very syncronized in this picture, but she did do the splits too, and then we came together for a pencil dive. 2012 Olympics here we come!

We played lots of Rock Band too.

Cross Country Skiing down onto the lake was one of the biggest hits of the weekend. The mojority of the family had never gone CCskiing before and out of the 15 or so of us that went at least 13 of us had wicked wipeouts. Good times though, and how cool is it that the same lake that we can ski on in summer, we can also ski on in winter. I wasn't able to get over this frozen wave so I said that I was just gonna lay there until spring when the water melts and swim in.

2010 Olympics here I come!

HY Yi Yi YI YI Ya!

Gym Update- Its been a month since I signed up, I've gone 20ish times, averaging abouts an hour each time. I'm up to 16 minutes running on the tready,(meaning running without walking) but that number changes every couple days cuz last week my record was 8. Its kinda exciting. I haven't lost much.. just a bit. So we'll see how much that changes over the next couple months.

Nanny in Winnipeg Update- this weekend I was in the city, I met "the mothers" as I call them (being the mothers that want a nanny-theres 2 and they are sister-in-laws) They were super nice-no problem there. The next day I got a supper invite to "Meet the Kids" loved them, all 6. they all got personalities, and are super cute. Verdict?!- I'm hired and want the job. Problemo!?!- I dont do amazing with change.. at first I thought Im scared but now I realize Im not really scared, cuz I love trying new things, Change is one problem, cuz this is a big one, and long term, its not just going someplace for awhile and then coming home, its moving, and making a new home. Its moving to a place thats never appealed to me before to move to, as much as I love spending weekends there and stuff, Im a country girl so thru and thru. I like my wide open spaces, and hwys that I can speed on without getting in trouble and black skies with bright stars, and no stop lights and traffic, and fresh air.. and so much of it. and cheaper car insurance and my precious lake that I can see from my house, and beach thats 10 minutes away. A front lawn that I can run half naked around cuz hey we got a thing called "not everybody can see you in your own yard" a huge flower garden that I can pick big massive bouquets from to put in my room. A road I can bike down for ages with the chance of even 1 vehicle going past me quite slim. Ditches I can hit, Mud I can get stuck in, Beaches I can get stuck on, a bank where everyone knows everyone, and half the people there are the mothers to the kids I take care of, and therefore they get to to see how much I get payed to look after their kids.. a lil weird. A hairdresser that I've gone to since I was 10, and knows your whole families history of hair, cuz hey everybody knows everybody and so on and so forth. People know how often you wash your car, and remind you everytime theres a speck of dust on it. Grandparents that live on the farm down the road. All you hear at night in summer is cows mooing in the distance, and frogs croaking, and crickets chirping and foxes barking, and coyotes howling (this is when I shut my window)

This is my country life. and I have 12 days to decide whether or not to give it up. Could it be that I could enjoy living in a city? Could it be that I could get used to it? Could it be that I would appreciate home so much more when I've left it? Could I be ok with rarely seeing my family that Im so tight with? Could I be ok with falling asleep to sirens? Could I be ok with the chances of being able to travel minimized? Could I be ok with this? Could I be ok with any of it? Could I be Okay? Yes I could. cuz if this is what God has in store for me, then its whats gonna happen. Awesome job opportunites don't grow on trees. Having Christian bosses-.. doesn't grow on trees, being able to talk about Jesus with kids without having to watch your back or "feel like your swearing" as Debbie puts it, doesn't grow on trees anymore. So after much much much thinking of this... and many minutes of staying up late at night thinking more, Im coming to my decision, key word is coming. Theres alot to leave behind, right down to my cat Max, and 6 fish.. well maybe they'll be able to come too, if they promise not to die in the city water. hahaha. Final decision yet to come. If your the praying kind, and you read this... plz pray 4 me? and if you want to help me make a decision.. tell me 100 awesome things about living in the city lol. (i've come up with 3...a great job, bunches of my bestest friends live there, apartment with a swimming pool in summer. (that is of course if my Stacey still reckons I can stay under their roof) oh and tell me how much gas you use if you drive across the city twice a day.
p.s i took the pic up top where Bishop is coming onto Pembina..
pps. dont take pics and drive at the same time.

My Ice Trail! ... near completion!!!!!!!!

So tonight was lace up night- figured I'd try skating on this over worked on skating trail, Christy was my inspiration as she managed to get around the whole loop first without falling down. Its a kinda bumpy all over still, but after figuring out how to skate again, it was a good time. feels abit like skiing at times cuz it has a couple hills where u go down and then turn sharp, pretty thrilling!! and so beautiful with the Christmas lights along it. Now I just want everybody to come skating!
I ran just over a mile today without walking.. like literally ran the whole thing,it may not sound all that great, but I've never been able to do that before in my life! not even gym class.. plus I also ran more minutes then i've ever run before today too. 2 records. SAVEEET!!!!! twas a good day today, I feel like an achiever; at least after work. We won't talk about how work went today :S Later blokes and sheilas!!

Sheila... living in Winnipeg?!!?!?! something new

Gym- 3 weeks down.. I haven't lost weight, and I dont look any different. BUT I can sure run longer then I've ever run before in probably my whole life, which is AWESOME! In shape? getting close :D

Today my sweet Jemma from England called me, it was so awesome talking to her, I hadn't talked to her since we were in Australia; so it was super cool catching up. And hey if I feel like going to England, I know I can stay with her. Whoo! my fave line from her in her cute english accent was "We just get rubbish rain here" it was funny how she said it. I dyed Stacey's hair, it turned out good.
Last night I went to see my co-worker Shianna and her brand new baby girl Benna, twas nice, and then I went to the theatre to go see "Australia" all by my lonesome, I took my blanket with me and curled up for the 3 HOUR LONG movie, it was good though, I liked it more then I thought I would, and i didn't go alone cuz I have no friends, I just wanted to go alone, cuz once in awhile I just feel like being a loner lol.
A few days ago, my awesome cousin Jackie said she was thinking about me.. she said she and her friend are having a hard time finding childcare, and was wondering if I ever thought about nannying.. to which I was like well yes I've definetly thought about it. Long story short, she's offering me a job.. IN WINNIPEG, and Im not gonna lie.. Im seriously contemplating it. Its a door, and maybe its one Im supposed to walk through. So i'll keep thinking and praying about it a lil longer, talk to her more about it etc. SO we shall see... It could change alot of things in this year; if I do move out.. it might mean no big trip maybe no camp... which would be :( so pple reading this.. its something u can pray for me about..WHAt shall I DO?!!? its a biggie. well I got an 6:45am shift tomrrow so Im off!

So far so good

So this gym thing is going good, I've gone everyday for 2 weeks, and sometimes I go on my break and then again after work, I ususally spend at least an hour there. For the most part I really enjoy it. Its just nice to know Im finally doing something good for my body, and I find if I have a super frusterating day at work, by the time Im done at the gym I feel alot better mentally as well. Nothing like pounding your day out on a treadmill or punchin it out boxing. Hopefully my motivation will last the 6 monthes. Im definetly heaps more in shape already then I was.. but thats the only thing I've noticed so far. I think I still weigh the same.
Yesterday I went to The Wonderful Wedding Show with Sophia and a bunch of other ladies. It was a good time, definetly a great place to go to get ideas, or if you have nothing planned yet. I shake my head at myself, cuz everything that I saw that I loved costs a million.. I should probably start saving now already.. If its poofy, it sparkles, it shines, its big, its fancy then I love it. Now I have to find the rich lawyer husband.
After the wedding show I went straight to our bcbc staff followup thing at the Brandts, they got a sweet hill, and we went on a hayride, and played killer bunnies.. it was good.

Viewer Discretion is ADVISED!

I didn't make a New Years Resolution this year.. but heres what I did do...

I joined the gym.. PACE in Riverton to be exact.... Im planning on getting whipped into shape and lookin like Barbie by summer, I plan to be a very faithful member-seeing I put all my Christmas money and then some into the membership fee. (Which is gonna be the sole motivater for me to go EVERYDAY) yup yup yup.. Seriously though.. I'm serious about it, mostly Im just wanting to be in shape, cuz I've gotton so super outta shape after highschool. (Plus on my "things I want to do, places I want to go in my life" List, I have GET INTO SHAPE as one. Plus.. it just really wouldn't hurt for me to lose some megga inches.. SO for 6 months, after work EVERDAY (meaning the days I work, so we're talking 5 days a week here) Im gonna be in that place.. working out... Now Im gonna advertise for Pace a lil here and say that they got super cool hydrolic machine things.. heres what happens.. all around the room theres these special 'pace' machines..and you go on each one for 30 seconds.. then you hear this voice say 'next station' so you move to the next thing for another 30 seconds, and for every 30 seconds you just giver as much as ur lil heart can handle. You make 3 loops around the room, which makes it a half hour work out. then you go stretch it out. theres also a treadmill and weights and other stuff that optional on the side of doing the 'pace circuit' Anyway so cuz its only 30 seconds on each thing, it makes it kinda more bearable ya know. So today I went for my first time...im still feeling a lil bit like jello... I think I definetly burnt off every last calorie that i ate today lol.... Im more excited about how it will be in about 3 weeks from now when Im a lil more in shape, I think it'll be more fun then. So ladies and gens... now you've met my 'motivated by spending heaps to do something good for my body' side.

Oh and here are my BEFORE(totally outta shape)and AFTER(being 'in shape') Pictures this is where the 'some scenes are not suitable for all viewers.. VEIWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED.'comes in.

before
>

after

perhaps not so extreme.. but I really am planning on getting results by the end of the 6 months.
So whats your New Years Resolution...?

The Last Day of 2008...

It is the last day of this year today; and I won't beat around the bush- I'm glad 2008's over. Thats probably the first time I've said that too. Usually I hate for years to end.. for example last year I really didn't want it to end; but this year I'm so ready for a new year. A new page, a new beginning, a new start.

As I look back over the year as a whole, I kind of give it a rating; I think probably everybody does that. I dont rate complicated, it was either a good year, a bad year or an amazing year.

2005-

was a good year-LDC happened, other stuff happened, it was just really sweet overall.

2006-

wasn't overly amazing-I graduated and that was cool, but it had some pretty big bumpy patches

2007-

BEST year ever! super amazing! By the end of January I knew I wanted to quit my job, which I did at the end of June, 'washed my hands of it' By April I came up with the thought up going to Australia-by May I got my passport, By June I had my tickets, By July I knew what I was doing out there, So 4 days after the most amazing 5 weeks of Camp, God carried me across the world and tucked me in Down Under, and held my hand and took me through the hugest highlight of my life. I had a few months of not worrying about my future at all, I had no clue what I would do when I got home, and I just didnt' even give a rip about it, it didnt' bother me, didn't phase me. I was in amazing place; hanging out with amazing people on the most beautiful beaches and places, Seeing and doing things I'd never ever done before. Blew my bank account to pieces, it was the sweetest of sweet.

2008-

I think I knew that after coming off such a big high like that it would be hard to return to normal life, 2008 was a year of 1 year anniversaries, except that it was hard to be happy on them, cuz I didn't like that the past was slipping further into the past so fast.

A bunch of my friends got married, which was super exciting, but as each of them gain a husband or wife, I always feel like I lose a friend; of course I don't really.. but it changes things up, and its hard to be left behind.

God and me had a rough year this year, which totally affects so many other areas of life as well, cuz He's what makes life go 'round. I have to learn how to put things into His hands, and trust him with my life, and my future.. instead of trying to figure it all out on my own. Its just always so much easier said then done.

The job was real tough this year-after quitting and telling myself I was never going back to daycare, and then getting sucked back in made my attitude towards it not very stellar. Then when I finally got my foot out the door only to get slammed back in a few weeks later; just wasn't a very pretty moment in life. Although I think daycares gone better in the last month, which is a good thing, Im not quite climbling up the walls anymore.

I've learnt to accept it.

Now for the HIGHLIGHTS OF 2008

March 15-23- I flew to Calgary, to my roomate that I had when I was in Australia.

Saw our Rockies for the first time, went to my first NHL game, went to West Edmonton Mall, It was a good time.

(I could sell this pic to a sports mag or something lol)

Saturday April 26th- I bought 'my baby'

a 2008 Pontiac G5 SE

This was taken the day I brought it home.. why was there snow at the end of April??

May- Chantal 's wedding-which made a bunch of time for us girls to all be together again which was really awesome.

its not everyday you get 6 women in a bathtub

July- BCBC- my one week there turned into 2 weeks cuz you can never get enough of the place. I loved my time at camp this year once again.

Summer and beyond..

I turned 20

I went to my first Bombers Game..finally

the friendships that I have with some people got so much tighter, which was awesome, cuz I needed them so bad. Thanks you guys! Much love.

Tonights gonna be a first-Im spending new years in the city.. gonna see the fireworks!! whoo!

I've got high hopes for 2009!

After all.. odd number years seem to be the better ones for me; although i know that doesn't really apply.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!

Merry Christmas PT.2

Once upon a time in August 2007, I went to McDonalds in Australia's Capital city. Canberra.

(say it how the Aussies do and its "Can-bra") Now I don't usually leave my purse places, but this night I did; of course I didn't realize it until my friends and I got home to Cooma (which is like an hour and a half south of Canberra) Anyway my reaction was not good. If you left you purse (with your camera, wallet, and everything else thats pretty dear to you in it) in Winnipeg, like what are the chances that your gonna get it back right? So we called the police in Canberra to see if anyone had turned it in etc. Nothing yet. So for a few days I was just right upset. The one and only time I cried in Australia was when I thought I'd never get my camera back. Anyway one miraculous day my roomate Brooke came running into our apartment (right in the middle of my tear spillage) and was like "Sheila, Sheila,. Sheila! they FOUND YOUR PURSE!" and I was happy.

A few days later we went into Canberra to take Brooke to the airport, so then we also stopped at the Police station to pick up my beloved purse.. mostly my beloved camera. Sure enough it was all in there except for my belov.. nah my 42.00's worth of money. The police told me it was in their safe, but the dude who had the key wasnt there, but they gave me a paper, and said I could come back another time to get it. So that was all fine. So then the next time we went into Canberra which was like a month later, we came back to the station and they were like "We don't have a record of it, go look at such and such a place. So we went to this other police place an they were like "we dont know why they told you to come here cuz its not here either." but go talk to so and so. So the next time we came to Canberra which was just before I flew up to the Sunshine Coast, we talked to this head cheese guy and he didn't understand why;d they put me on such a rat trail, but said he'd send me the money, and I was like well dude Im not gonna be in Australia forever so you're your gonna have to send it back to Canada, cuz its not gonna get to me in time out here. So he's like okay we can arrange that bla bla..So I gave him my address with not much faith that he would actually carry through, but really it wasn't a big deal. cuz its $42.00, its not my whole bank account lol. Anyways I kinda forgot about it all. Came home. Nothing came.

SO a couple months ago I was going through all my Australia stuff and papers, and I came across my paper that the police gave me, and I was like ya know what? Im gonna write these Australia convicts of police a letter and just see what happens, If nothing happens whatever, but Im just curious if they'd reply. So I photocopied the paper they gave me, and wrote a oh-so-professional letter to the Woden Police Station (found their address on the internet) and mailed it off. Totally forgot all about it and then yesterday I got home from work, and my parents are all like serious and there like "Sheila you got mail from the Australian police" and Im like "what did I do???" but then I remembered and I was like"ya gotta be kidding me, they actually replied??!?!!?" so I opened it up and just laughed my head off.. 1 year and 4 months later they sent me my money back!!! I just have to smile. I dont even know if I'll deposit it.. cuz its just fun to look at.
Todays Christmas eve.. but cuz we did everything we would normally do on this day on Sunday, it kinda just feels like a Saturday.I had the greatest sleep in, woke up feeling just great, talked to my sugar for abit, cooked some mac and cheese for dad and me, then he left and i was home alone. I started working on my skating trail outside, but it meant that I had to clear trees outta the way, so I whacked a whole heap of little trees down, most excersise I've gotton in a long time, cuz it took like 50 whacks for each tree lol.. but I got that part finished, then I came inside to melt my freezing face. I shook a bunch of sticks outta my hair; and now Im blogging and singing along to a bunch of sappy love songs that have no particular face behind them so I just picture my future husband, who doesn't really have a clear face but I know he's about the hottest man on earth. hahaha, the beautiful thing about being super single is that your imagination in the limit.
Anywho Im gonna go wash some dishes, and see what else I can do with my skating trail around my yard.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!!!!!!

Merry Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

My family did our family Christmas last night, because Melissa and Adam aren't around over Christmas.. so in some ways I feel like Christmas is already done in some ways.. just cuz we did all our presents already. Something that makes me feel reassured about giving/recieving is that when it comes down to it, I find it way more exciting to give my gifts to my family then to see what Im getting. Especially this year, I couldn't wait to see their reactions. It was good. Made me feel 'less-selfish' I did however get beautiful gifts, my family did a really good job in picking out things I love. (jewellery, nail stuff, towels and things for my future bathroom;D, TICKETS TO TAYLOR SWIFT and Kellie Pickler next summer, travel mug that looks like a normal glass mug.. hopefully I dont break it. Its really cool, 'The Power of a Praying Woman' Norwex stuff...n more) I got my dad the game 'Are you smarter then a 5th Grader' its so degrading.. some of us can't even get 1st grade questions right.. I wont mention names though hahaha!

This weekend I started on my skating rink, took the snowblower out to the back forty and cleared a big rectangle area. I was totally pooped when it was done. Go figure then that it snows and blows like crazy overnight and now I'd have to start all over if Im gonna do it again.. Dad was saying maybe instead of a rink I should make a skating trail, Im kinda liking the idea, it'll be alot closer and possiby easier then dragging and hooking up 10 hoses to reach the back 40. I'll have to go out this afternoon and scout the area.

Today is Katelyn's birthday- pray for her family; it must be so hard. First her birthday and then Christmas...

I hope everyone has a really special Christmas this year.. not sure if I'll write again over the next couple days or not. We shall see.

I <3 kids

Today one of the girls at work and I were talking about how we expect so much from these little tykes...but when we see them out in public its like wow there so small.. but cuz we're with them everyday we know how much they are capable of. We know our babies can say please and more and all done even though they cant speak yet, (a dear little thing called sign language that works so amazing, and you'll never see someone learn so fast as a little one.) We know that one of our 1 year olds can put on her whole snowsuit by herself.. We know that though those 2 year olds are small and OH SO CUTE... they are so capable and have a huge understanding of what goes on around them. Pretty much the bottom line is Never underestimate little munchkins, they may be small, but they are dynamite none the less. Be careful what you say around them cuz when they find there voice, they'll fire it right back at you.. Be it scolding, swears, expressions, they hear it all, even when you dont think they catch on.
I have no clue where this particluar blog post is going.. I just kinda typing randomly and this is whats coming in the kids department.

I love the rush of December, I love all the parties, concerts, family gatherings, and times with friends. I love having something to go to almost everyday, and I love how Christmas brings so many people together. Oh speaking of Christmas, ITS CHRISTMAS... not HOliday.. Im shocked at how fast they made that switchover of not saying Merry Christmas but Happy Holidays. I hate it.. You can't take Christmas away from Christmas.. without Christmas there wouldn't be the holiday.. so just say it for what it is, and this whole all about Santa Claus, and No Jesus thing pretty much sucks too. If people are offended about Baby Jesus and the real meaning of Christmas, then Im offended of Santa Claus. I dont mind abit of Santa, it kind of cute and has its place.. but when it 100% replaces Jesus then screw it. (something that gets me ticked every Christmas at daycare is that we can't have anything with Jesus in it)If it wasn't for HIM we wouldn't have Christmas. I wish people would understand that. Wow okay sorry this turned into more of a rant then anything...Im not trying to be negative..just strongly sharing my thoughts lol

None the less I love Christmas, I love the love that goes around, and the true spirit of it all!
